Press Release 2010 - launch of AeroFinder
AeroTransport Data Bank announces AeroFinder

AeroTransport Data Bank [ATDB] is announcing today the immediate availability of AeroFinder. AeroFinder is a new online service providing lists and details of transport aircraft available for sale or lease. With over 800 aircraft listed on the first day of operations, buyers retrieve the complete information on all current availabilities, and they can follow up with a contact to sellers. AeroFinder is a no-cost no-advertisement service; in particular there is no listing fee or similar required from sellers.

AeroFinder is located at

"AeroFinder was designed in partnership with AeroTransport Data Bank" said Sylvie Dalbera, head of commercial services at ATDB. "While using AeroFinder, hints and advices are displayed to detail how the particular aircraft model behaves in the used aircraft market, and provide information on the specific airframe being listed. We expect this will be of high benefit for the business of our users. At all times, context-sensitive hyperlinks provide direct access to the relevant reports within AeroTransport Data Bank where a paying subscription is required for additional drill-down".

After contacts are made initially between sellers and prospective buyers, AeroFinder is not involved anymore in the tentative negociation.

"Each month we greet new subscribers migrating away from traditional and expensive database vendors, such as ACAS or Ascend, towards our friendly databases servers for instant, accurate and reliable information. We expect that the synergy between AeroFinder and AeroTransport Data Bank will provide additional benefits to all users."

"This is the first time that an aircraft listing service such as AeroFinder is launched in close partnership with a professional aircraft/fleet databases operation like ATDB. Obviously buyers will be interested in the history and current status of a specific airplane before making a first contact; conversely sellers may find added value in getting the global picture of all current and prospective operators as well as owners for all aircraft similar to the model they are mandated to sell."

The scope is worldwide, based on ATDB's constant review of aircraft transactions and deliveries. Beyond the traditional sell/buy transactions, the service is also available for ACMI contracts for short and long-term leases.

"We improved on the current look-and-feel of AeroTransport Data Bank with a clean design where all searches or new entries are processed within a single mouse click and within our target of a sub-second response time." said Dalbera, adding "sellers'privacy was a concern and we decided that they can hide their email secure if they choose so, any request from buyers then go through our secure servers".

Targeted audience includes aircraft sellers and buyers, aircraft leasing companies, investment firms and financial analysts reviewing airlines assets or portfolio of lessors, marketing specialists in the air transport industry, airlines willing to lease equipment and general service providers.
